Delegate Street moves to amend the committee on page 2, section 7-28-4, line 1,

By inserting a subparagraph heading “(a)” before the word “Upon”;

And,

On page 2, section 7-28-4, line 8, after the period following the word “fee”,

By beginning a new subparagraph designated “(b)” and inserting the following text:

“(b) In any general election in which a public safety sales tax or amusement tax is put to a vote, referendum question will not be placed on the ballot of any and all municipal precincts of any municipality that participates in the Municipal Home Rule Program as defined in §8-1-5a of this code and/or of any municipality that has a current amusement tax; and the public safety sales tax or amusement tax referendum question shall only appear in county voting precincts outside the municipal boundaries of such municipalities.  In the event county or municipal precincts which are to be excluded from the referendum question overlap into county territory such that registered voters inside municipal boundaries are included in county precincts, or municipal precincts take in registered county voters outside municipal limits, then the county commission shall revise the precinct boundaries prior to the election so that they are established to accurately coincide with the boundaries of any municipality of the county in order to ensure that the public safety sales tax or amusement tax referendum question does not appear on the ballot of any such municipal voter.”
